May begins in Belleplain!

Here's a recap of this morning's tour of Belleplain State Forest, courtesy of Karl & Judy Lukens:

"Started the CMBO Belleplain Walk this morning with good birds right in the parking lot. Maybe Michael and Louise and their Birding By Ear group brought the good luck. We saw and heard Scarlet Tanager and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and had singing Yellow-throated Warblers before we started. During the walk we also heard and saw Blue-winged Warbler, Prothonotary, Yellow-rumped, Pine, and Hooded Warblers. In the heard category we had Black and White, Worm Eating, Prairie, Ovenbird, and Louisiana Waterthrush. For some the flute-like song of the Wood Thrush was a first of the year."
