This is the Cape May Birding Hotline, a service of New Jersey Audubon Society's Cape May Bird Observatory. This week's message was prepared on Thursday, October 14, 2010 Highlights this week include sightings of WESTERN KINGBIRD, EURASIAN WIGEON, DICKCISSEL, LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL

A WESTERN KINGBIRD was seen flying over Cape May Point State park on Thursday, October 14th, 2010.

An EURASIAN WIGEON was discovered on Lighthouse Pond on Thursday, October 14th, 2010, but has not been reported since.

A DICKCISSEL was perched in the pines near the Avalon Seawatch on Tuesday, October 12th , 2010.

2 adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS were seen on the Cold Spring jetty on Tuesday, October 12th, 2010.
