Storm effects linger for CMBO's Two Mile Beach walk

Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg sent along the following list from today's walk at Two Mile Beach. It appears as though the group had to deal with an unusually high tide, a remnant from yesterday's massive nor'easter. I would be interested in knowing how extensively the storm affected the various beach-nesting species which were just settling in for the season, such as American Oystercatcher, Least Tern and Piping Plover. Luckily it's still early in the season, and these species will have time to re-nest.

Sam Galick and Chris Brown showed me a Least Tern they found dead along the beach in Cape May Point this morning. No doubt there's several other birds washed up along the high tide line today.
