[Karl Lukens photographed this Stilt Sandpiper in Cape May last week.]A small hawk flight was developing at Cape May Point this morning, with the winds pretty much pure west by 10:00 a.m. The forecast is for the front to pass tonight, but the winds will not stay northwest through the night, and may have a strong east component by the predawn hours. East is less good, but there certainly will be new birds in Cape May tomorrow morning.
