CMBO's First Quadrennial Leap Day "Century" Run

Below is a report from Karl Lukens on CMBO's First Quadrennial Leap Day Century Run. Were they able to actually record 100 species on Leap Day? You'll have to read on to find out!


"The full day CMBO Leap Day Century Run started at the Cape May Point State
Park where we found 80 SNOW Buntings. Then we proceeded to bird the Point
jetties, concrete ship, Lily Lake, Stevens Rd at the Beanery, Ferry Terminal,
Villas WMA, Reeds Beach, Jakes Landing, Beaver Dam Rd. Nummy Island, N.
Wildwood, Sunset Lake, Two Mile Unit, Two Mile Landing, and SeaGrove Ave. We
ended at dusk with exactly 100 birds including Barnacle Goose, 2 Red-headed
Woodpeckers, 2 Bald Eagles, Peregrine Falcon and the many other "goodies"
listed below."
