4 Tundra Swans yesterday on the second plover pond at Cape May Point State Park (according to Warren Cairo), and a Pine Warbler today at the St. Peters dune crossover at Cape May Point are all the birds I've heard about today. Well, those plus the Bald Eagle, Cooper's Hawk, harriers, Golden-crowned Kinglets etc. that a lunchtime stroll at Jake's landing produced.
If you are pining for the Ivory Gull, check out the Ivory Gull gallery, where Kevin Karlson has added some spectacular images. We're up to 71 photos, including some from the some of the best photographers on earth.
CMBO closes up shop between Christmas and New Year's, so for those interested in one of the few remaining spots on our annual Kick off Your Year List in Cape May field trip, which begins at 10:00 a.m. New Year's Day, now is the time to call to pre-register (609-861-0700 x11). As the posts below prove, plenty of birds will be here to be found.
