It turned out to be a darn fine warbler day after all - I hear Higbee got better as the morning went on, a Mourning Warbler was detected at the Hidden Valley Parking Lot, and, especially, the area around Lily Lake, particularly East Lake Drive, was SMOKING this afternoon - 17+ species, including multiple Cape Mays, Hooded, Blackburnian. . .great close range looks.
In other news, the White-winged Dove made another pass at the Hawk Watch today, and the Black-bellied Whistling-ducks spent some time in Bunker Pond, too. It was a "good" hawk flight, according to counter Melissa Roach.
