Higbee Trails
Just a quick request regarding the fields and trails at Higbee's Beach. The first field south of the parking lot has now been planted with a crop of winter rye and the plan is to sow the field with a permanent grass and wildflower mix next spring. This will create a fabulous habitat for migratory birds. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make every effort to resist walking on the crop now that plants are germinating in there, and keep to the well-worn trails around the edge of the field. Thanks to all.
